Pops of Fall Color

Today I am showing you all our family/tv room.  In this room I added those "pops of color" everyone talks about.  I am not a big fan of pops of color as I find it distracting most of the time, but I really, really love it in fall. I only add color to our home for fall and Christmas.  Aside from that, I keep things pretty neutral around here.

This is a truly versatile room.  

It is easy and inexpensive to change 

with the holidays or seasons,

 and yes, 

I am that girl. 

 The one who changes

Spring/Summer

Quieting the Living Room for the Warmer Months

Spring was in the air.  

The faux fur pillows and knit throws were packed away for the cooler months which seemed so far away.  Today we are back to winter weather here in New Hampshire.  Northern NH is getting snow, we are hoping for a cold rain further south.  Since I can't work in the yard, I thought I would show you our living room lightened up for the spring and summer months.

And the Wall Came Down...

The wall comes down! 

 Hallelujah!

One of the big projects we wanted to do in our home which we've been in for about 3 years is to take down the wall between the dining room and family room.  

White and Wood Family Room

I have made some subtle changes to the family room.  It is now a completely neutral room.  I just love the white and wood combination.

Christmas in the Family Room

I would have to say that our family room is the

 brightest room in our home...

which is weird because it is on the shady side of the house -

the only room without a window on the sunny side.

The days have been gloomy,

and it gets dark so early.
