Just when I think I'm starting to get a grip on this blogging thing, I get thrown another curve ball.

I finally figured out how to add an "I've Been Featured" button to my sidebar.  I uploaded one, and viola, it appeared on my sidebar.  After patting myself on the back, I tried uploading the next button.  And something like this appeared:
"You have uploaded too many photos on Picasa - YOU MUST NOW PAY to upload more"!!!!! (My paraphrase).

The End of Summer

Today is the official end of summer for me.  Now I know the calendar says it is summer for another month, but school starts tomorrow, at least for the staff.  Yup, summer's over.

Antique Ironing Board Entry Table

I found this old ironing board at a yard sale for $5.

I played around with some different accessories that I found in the shed or on the property.

Welcome to my Home Tour!  We've been here about 2 months now and things are really coming together.  Of course this home will always be evolving.  With very little time, and even less money, things take awhile around here.

Living Room Tour

This is the view into our living room through the entry area from the dining room.

It is quiet at my house right now.  My husband has left for work.  He works the night shift and leaves after lunch.  My daughter is visiting a friend for a few days in New Hampshire's White Mountains, and my son is at the movies seeing the Dark Knight again.

My house is clean.   It tends to stay that way these days.  No more little ones running around, making messes.  No more toys.   I baked a cake this morning and ran to the market.  Tomorrow I am making a meal for a friend who has cancer.  I have time to do these things now.

This is Megan's sitting room/living room.  We haven't quite figured out what to call it.  Megan is a college student and a nanny to the most adorable 8 month old.   She opted for community college f0r a couple of years to save some dough - then spent it all decorating her new suite - and it is a very "sweet suite" indeed!
