The Long Awaited Home!

Our new home - Farmhouse circa 1830

The Lord is good.  We are in our new home and only He could have orchestrated the details so perfectly.  I love this house!  It is 182 years old, and was once a schoolhouse.  There are perennial beds everywhere - and they all need tending to.  We have weeded and edged two of them so far.  I love getting my hands dirty and have missed it for the last 3 years.

Love the stone walls.

In the fall, I will be dividing many of the perennials and filling in the gaps.

This is our sitting area under a shade tree.

There is an Inn next door.  The yard is huge.  There is also a barn and a big shed.

Long dirt driveway

To the right is a barn - which has a studio/loft apartment.  Dan in one lucky 20 year old!

We discovered a dry river bed under all the weeds and leaves.

We are loving our new home.  It is so much fun to decorate.  Can't wait for Saturday - yardsales have become one of my favorite things to do.

For now, it's back to the weeds for me!

  3. I think it is a very beautiful home designing in this time and I am very impress to this design. Wishing that my Philippines property has a big garden like what is on the photo too. :)

    1. Thank you for visiting Lisa. You may not have such a big garden, but the Philippines are just beautiful too!
