I have some pretty faux flowers that I have had for several years. These flowers are made from some sort of fabric, not plastic, and of course they are white. Lately I have been noticing how dingy, dusty, and dirty they were. I thought they might be beyond saving, but I decided to try washing them first. I'm embarrassed to say that I would take them outside and shake them, but I had never really cleaned them before.
I placed a bowl in the sink and added a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid and warm water. (I didn't think to take any before photos or photos while washing the flowers). Then I immersed the flowers and let them soak. After soaking for a few minutes I swished the flowers around in the soapy water. Then I dumped the dirty water, rinsed the bowl and refilled is with clear cold water. I again dipped the flowers and swished them around until they were thoroughly rinsed off.
I hung the flowers over the sink to drip dry.
Once they were no longer soaking wet, I placed them on the stairs near the wood stove until they were completely dry.
The flowers came out better than I could have hoped.
They look as good as the day I first brought them home.

Wow, this is good to know, Gloria! One thing I have tried with silk floral arrangements (I read this hint somewhere) it to take them outside after a fresh snowfall and swish them through the snow. It does actually work, quite well, but your hint is much more practical!
