FALL - FOOTBALL - FOOD

 

 

Fall means football - and of course food just goes hand in hand with the game. 

This Sunday night, only my hubby was home for the game.  He requested very basic "football snacks."

 

 

FALL TABLE & YARDSALE FINDS

 

Have you ever gone yardsaling (yardsailing?) and hit the jackpot?  I finally did!  (As usual, I took the photos at night).

Next year I'm planting pumpkins - I can't believe how expensive these things are!  I found this wagon at a yard sale for $10 and the sign was on clearance at Cracker Barrel for $6.

Repurposed Dresser - Entertainment Center

Once upon a time we owned an armoire entertainment center that I loved.  Everyone else loved it too - except Brian.  I loved that I could close the doors and pretend there was no tv.  Brian hated having to open the doors everytime he wanted to watch the Red Sox or the Patriots.



 

 

Boy do I miss this baby..... but there's a new kid in town.

Chicken Chili and Corn Muffins - That's What's for Dinner

Now that Dan has his own place (20 steps away), there is no more junk food in the house.  Without even really trying, I lost 14 pounds and Brian lost 9. 

Of course it doesn't hurt that Megan is a health nut.  We have no fat this and organic that in the fridge these days.  And the fruit bowl is always full.  So even if I'm craving something fattening, there's nothing in the house. 

We have slowly been switching different foods.  We no longer have real butter or half n half for our coffee.  If it's not low fat, no fat, fat free, ick, ick, ick, it's not in our fridge.

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER HIKE

Well, we still can't get the 5 of us together for a day, but Brian, Megan and I managed a hike on Labor Day weekend. 

We climbed Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire.

TOO MANY UPLOADS?!!!??

Just when I think I'm starting to get a grip on this blogging thing, I get thrown another curve ball. 

I finally figured out how to add an "I've Been Featured" button to my sidebar.  I uploaded one, and viola, it appeared on my sidebar.  After patting myself on the back, I tried uploading the next button.  And something like this appeared:
      "You have uploaded too many photos on Picasa - YOU MUST NOW PAY to upload more"!!!!! (My paraphrase).
