Christmas Home Tour 2015

~ All hearts come home for Christmas ~
Marjorie Holmes

 Come on in!

You can wipe your feet here in the mudroom.

Come join me in the kitchen.
There's always something cooking.

The next room is the dining room.

The dining room opens into the family room.

Looking back into the dining room.

Let's have a quick peek at the office nook.

And now down the hall.

This is the living room, where the main entertainment is the wood stove.
We love this room.

Let's head upstairs.

The last room on today's tour will be our bedroom.  The sun was streaming in the windows, so the photos are really washed out.

  1. Gloria, your home is beautiful. You and I like many of the same things so it's especially easy for me to say that but it's very true. Everything is so pretty but homey too. Red and white looks right at home in your space and I love the glow of the light. Pinned the tray on your kitchen counter.

  9. Thanks for the new Christmas tour of your home. It is very pretty with all the special touches throughout, yet naturally serene at the same time. You make great use of the space. I really like the decorative pillow with houses in the mud room. I wish I could view it more closely. Alexine in Maryland

  10. I enjoyed touring your home inside and out! You definitely should be proud! I want that wooden tree in your Dining room, a family heirloom in the making! Thank you for sharing your home, I saw this over at Marty's!

    1. I made that tree out of some old pallets and just hand painted the words. The words are improvised from a Twila Paris Christmas song called "It's the Thought That Counts". My daughter sang this song with a friend when she was a little girl during our church's Christmas program - so it is very meaningful in several different ways. It's not a perfect sign, but I think it is perfect because of that!
