Winter at Home

“It was You who set all the boundaries of the earth; You made both summer and winter.” ~Psalm 74:17

Hi, my name is Gloria
and it has been 3 months since my last blog post.  We have so much catching up to do.

My posts here are so sporadic,
but I don't blog for a living.
 I'm no expert at anything
and I am certainly not a designer.
I am not a gourmet cook
or a very good photographer.

I am rapidly growing older
and I am still trying to figure out who I am.

I have a job I love -
working with children in Special Education.
This work is often frustrating and exhausting,
but always rewarding.

I have a family I love -
my husband Brian
 and my 3 children;
Nick 27,  Daniel 23, and Megan 21
and our beautiful husky Harley Quinn
who enjoys nothing more
 than plopping herself down
on the highest snowbank,
and watching the world go by.

...and rough-housing with Dan.

I am a struggling Christian saved by grace.

I love to spend my time making a cozy and comfortable home for my family.
That is what I share here.

This winter in New Hampshire, it has been the longest and snowiest winter I can remember.
I believe we have had over 100 inches of snow
with another storm coming on Monday.

We have missed multiple days of school and have had many delays.  Thank goodness our school system started utilizing Blizzard Bags this year so we only have a few days to make up so far.

In spite of the snowy and frigid winter,
we have been very cozy at home.
We stocked up on wood for the wood stove
and have had a constant fire burning.
The smell is wonderful
when you pull up to the house.

We are blessed to have this wonderful warm home.  I am thankful for a husband and son who have kept the wood stocked, the fire going, and the paths shoveled this winter.

We have done a lot of tweaking to the inside,
here is a little preview...
