As soon as the air turns crisp, I turn on the oven whenever I can.
I love the aroma of cookies baking, mingled with the crisp smell of a wood fire.
The cool fall weather is a little late this year. Today is Ten, Eleven, Twelve (10/11/12) and I'm still wearing flip flops and t-shirts most days. This is very unusual in New England.
The nights are much cooler though, and we've had a fire in our new woodstove for the last few evenings. I see a lot more cookies in our future!
I love everything about this post! What a cozy home you've created! I also love to bake more when the weather turns cool, and I so enjoy a fire in my fireplace!! The scale with the pumpkin you have in the picture is very nice...love things like that! Your cookies look perfect! You need to post the recipe for them if they're homemade. :)
